Kenya's U15 boys lose 25th-place match 3-1 to Korea Republic in Baku

Kenya's under-15 boys lost 3-1 to Korea Republic in the match for 25th place at the FIFA U-15 Youth World Cup & Festival in Baku on 30 October, FIFA match data shows, and finished 26th. Kick-off was at 05:00 UTC (08:00 in Nairobi) at the Hovsan Competition Complex.

Korea Republic scored in the 4th, 15th and 19th minutes. Kenya answered once, in the 38th, through Innocent Media, the midfielder who wears No. 10.

The match came a day after two wins, reported by Fica News on 29 October. On 28 October Kenya had lost 4-0 to Poland in the Tier A Round of 32 and 4-1 to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the next round, which left them in the play-offs for places 25 to 32. There they beat Bulgaria 3-2 and Algeria 4-3, matches FIFA lists as a quarter-final and a semi-final. Against Algeria, Media scored in the 6th, 8th and 38th minutes and Lewis Wafula in the 25th.

In Group Z of the qualification stage, Kenya beat Malta 6-2 on 24 October and Panama 5-1 on 25 October. They drew 2-2 with North Macedonia on 25 October and with Niger on 26 October, and beat Chad 3-2 on 26 October.

FIFA lists ten matches for Kenya: five wins, two draws and three defeats. The game against Korea Republic was the last.
