Kenya's Health Ministry will start releasing Ebola contacts from quarantine on 25 October once they finish 21 days of monitoring without symptoms, Health Director General Patrick Amoth said on 22 October.

Kenya's Ministry of Health confirmed a ninth Ebola case on 20 October. The patient, a close relative of the first case, fell ill while already in quarantine. One patient has died; 134 of 135 contacts have been traced and quarantined.
