South Africa will redraft its cross-border crypto rules, Finance Minister Godongwana says
South Africa's National Treasury and Reserve Bank will start consultations aimed at publishing a revised second draft of their cross-border crypto rules, and aim to move away from pre-approving transactions, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana said on 21 October 2026.
