Emirates will fly its Airbus A350 on flights EK717 (Dubai to Nairobi) and EK718 (Nairobi to Dubai) from 25 October, the airline said in a statement. It said the A350 brings its Premium Economy cabin to Kenya for the first time.

The aircraft seats 298 passengers in three cabins. The news site Further Africa, reporting on 1 October, gave the split as 32 seats in Business, 28 in Premium Economy and 238 in Economy.

Nairobi becomes the 32nd city on Emirates' A350 network. Emirates has flown 21 times a week between Dubai and Nairobi since a third daily service began on 1 July.

Business Class on the A350 has fully lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 layout, giving every passenger direct aisle access. Premium Economy has reclining leather seats with extra legroom, 13.3-inch screens and charging points, according to the business news site TradeArabia.

"The arrival of the A350 in Nairobi marks an exciting new chapter for Emirates in Kenya," said Christophe Leloup, Emirates Country Manager in Kenya.

Tickets can be bought on Emirates.com, in the Emirates app, through travel agents and at the Emirates World store in Nairobi, which opened in 2024.
