After Silence (KITFest, Brazil)
A Brazilian theatre-dance piece based on the life of Helen Keller, performed in Portuguese and Libras, on 5 November.

About the event
After Silence is based on real events in the life of Helen Keller (1880-1968), who lost her sight and hearing at just a few years of age, and on the arrival of her teacher Anne Sullivan. Three actresses and dancers perform on stage; Renata Rezende, who is deaf, plays a role that connects the 1880s story to the present day.
The cast listed on the booking page is Camila Guerra (Anne Sullivan), Naira Carneiro (Helen Keller) and Renata Rezende. It is performed in Portuguese and in Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) by the actresses themselves, at the Kenya National Theatre during KITFest 2026.
