AI Mum (KITFest, Kenya)
A Kenyan play about a young athlete who secretly builds an AI version of her late mother, in the small hall at KITFest.

About the event
Cherono, a Kenyan Gen-Z athlete, returns from a scholarship abroad to learn that her mother has died of cancer. Grieving in secret, she begins coding an AI version of her mother, while her father, a former athlete and coach, forbids anything that distracts her from athletics.
The play is in Swahili, English and Kalenjin and is staged at Ukumbi Mdogo, the small hall of the Kenya National Theatre, during the Kenya International Theatre Festival.
