Her Madness (KITFest, Uganda)
A Ugandan spoken-word theatre production centred on a single evolving character, 'Mad'.
About the event
A spoken-word theatre production centred on a single evolving character known as 'Mad', told through poetry, costume changes, satire and social critique. Her journey moves from devotion in love to doubts about religion, then to political consciousness and open confrontation with society. Her apparent erratic behaviour is presented as the result of growing understanding rather than mental illness.
Origin listed as Uganda; in English, at Ukumbi Mdogo (small hall) of the Kenya National Theatre on 12 November at 17:00.
