I Carry – Je Porte: Mulu Legesse solo exhibition

Ethiopian multimedia artist Mulu Legesse shows paintings, collage, sculpture and installation on memory and motherhood at Alliance Éthio-Française.

This event has ended.

About the event

I Carry – Je Porte is a solo show by Ethiopian artist Mulu Legesse, who works across painting, collage, sculpture and installation. Her pieces are layered and reworked, with memory, identity, womanhood and motherhood as the themes. The title plays on her name: Mulu means 'whole' in Amharic.

The exhibition is curated by Dr Gerhard 'Gerd' Steffes. The venue's posts also list three side events at 17:30, each streamed live on Instagram: a dance performance by Katim Disability and Awareness Support (KADS), a poetry reading by Ribka Sissay and a performance by Gerd Steffes. The venue has not stated their dates.
