La Mona Simona (KITFest, Spain)
A show from Spain mixing Chinese shadow theatre, puppetry and storytelling about a sleepy monkey waiting for sunrise.
About the event
Simona, a sleepy monkey hanging from a baobab branch, waits for sunrise to greet the Sun. She invites passing animals to watch with her and asks them to tell her a story while she waits.
The show mixes Chinese shadow theatre, puppetry and storytelling, and is inspired by friendship and love of nature. It is staged in Cheche at the Kenya National Theatre during the Kenya International Theatre Festival.
