Make Room (KITFest, Uganda)
A Ugandan play set at a bus stop during a lockdown curfew, at KITFest on 6 November.
About the event
After falling out with her roommate during a countrywide lockdown caused by a deadly virus, a young woman, Kabibi, is stranded at a bus stop with her belongings as curfew approaches. She calls her friends, her boyfriend and acquaintances, but not her mother, with whom she has a complicated relationship. The description says it is only by letting go of her baggage, literally and figuratively, that she can save herself.
TheatreKE lists Uganda as its origin and the languages as English with some Luganda and Runyankore. It plays at the Kenya National Theatre during KITFest 2026.
