Safaricom and Pesapal let M-Pesa users in Kenya tap or scan to pay at card terminals
On 1 October 2026, Safaricom partnered with payments firm Pesapal so M-Pesa customers can tap an NFC phone or scan a dynamic QR code on Pesapal card machines in Kenyan shops.
